Montoya was born on June 12, 1984 in San Diego, United States.
A graduate of San Diego State University, Adam was unable to find a job because of the knowledge he gained about television, film and new media production. This led him to accept part-time work related to the field of his study.
Later, he would take inspiration from YouTube gaming commentators he met to create his own content and upload it to Youtube.
The inspiration spawned the SeaNanners gaming channel on YouTube. Adam created the channel in 2009.
We know that Adam Montoya has already worked with Machinima. In 2010, he announced that he was a full-time employee of the company. However, he left in 2011 and since then he has completely devoted himself to creating content for his YouTube channel.

Adam is not married to anyone, but he is dating Cathy Diep, also known as Catabot.
Before it became apparent that Adam was in love with Cathy, he was not associated with any romantic partners.
