Brantley Keith Gilbert was born in Jefferson, Georgia, USA on January 20, 1985. He grew to love music and deciding he wanted to write songs and sing for the rest of his life, Brantley moved to Nashville to start out as a songwriter and, luckily for him, Warner Chappel Publishing signed him. After some time, he then signed a music recording contract with independent label Average Joes Entertainment in 2009. With the label, his named debut album, Prodigal Son of Modern Times, was released the same year.

Brantley Gilbert left Average Joes Entertainment in 2011 to join one of Big Machine Records’ divisions “Valory Music Co.” Through the label, he reissued his album Halfway to Heaven. The album was produced by ace producer, Dann Huff, it had new songs as well as bonus tracks. With the album, Brantley Gilbert recorded a milestone in his career as his first set of singles including; You don’t know her like I do, and The Country Must Be National reached No. 1 on the Hot Country Song chart.

Two other singles from the album did quite well on a different chart (Country Airplay chart). More Than Miles peaked at number 7 while, Kick the Stick peaked at number 34. Brantley’s second album with Valory was released in May 2014, and it was titled, Just As I Am. A good number of songs from this album also performed well. The song Bottoms Up, the album’s lead single peaked at number one, while the second single Small Town Dismantling became her fourth number-one single of 2015 He also wrote songs for established artists like Jason Aldean and Colt Ford.

Brantley Gilbert has been out of the dating scene for quite some time now as he has been married several times. His first marriage was to someone he called his crush, Jana Kramer, an equally famous country music actress and singer whom he met at the 2012 CMT Music Award which took place in June 2012. The following year, on January 20, 2013, which was also his 28th birthday, he proposed to Jana. Unfortunately, this romance was not to last long as the pair soon separated in August 2013 via divorce citing irreconcilable differences.
