Chad Gilbert Bio
New Found Glory’s lead guitarist was born ChadEverett Gilbert on March 9, 1981 in Coral Springs, Florida. He attended JP Taravella High School. He was recruited as a vocalist by the newly formed hardcore punk band Shai Hulud, and sang with them from 1995 to 1997. The band recorded a three-song piece (EP) titled A Deep Hatred of Man (1997 ), but became known for their feature debut, Hearts Filled with Hope and Compassion which was released later that year. He would, however, rejoin his parent group in 2004 and in 2012 produced and produced his fourth studio album, named Reaching Beyond the Sun (2013).

As a member of the quintet, Gilbert plays guitar, sings and composes music. Cyrus Bolooki then joined the band in 1997 to replace temporary drummer Joe Marino and Klein. In 2013, the group is renowned for their energetic performances. He is considered by music critics to be a key pioneer of the pop-punk genre.
