The way and ways that YouTubers and Vloggers like Conan Gray become popular and wealthy, makes every young man want to be one. In fact, a travel agency survey of 1,000 children aged 6 to 17 indicates that 75% of them want to be YouTubers or Vloggers.

One of the things that Conan Grey’s fans are drawn to is the perfect blend of good looks and a sweet voice. That’s why he posts more music videos on his YouTube channel. Most of the songs he uploads are covers, while a few are his originals.

Conan Gray Bio

Conan Gray is an American YouTuber and Vlogger, born on December 5, 1998. Although his official YouTube channel came alive in 2013, he had started making videos from the age of 9. However, his mother would not allow him to show his face on camera until he was 11 years old.

In his senior year of college, he discovered he was making videos as a sleight of hand. In an effort to promote it, one of the teachers screened his video for everyone to see. In the early days of Vlogging, he was earning around $100 a month. Well, he didn’t have a lot of fans, however, he admitted that he just hoped his videos would connect with someone.

Being a rising star and college freshman was Conan Gray faced one of the biggest challenges. The demanding nature of constantly updating YouTube and its courses was very challenging. With the help of his managers, he was able to develop a strategy that allowed him to effectively combine the two tasks.

In 2013, Conan Gray launched his official YouTube channel as “ConanXCanon”. However, he had since changed it to his full name, Conan Grey. Although he posts more music videos, he also posts videos on various issues. In one of the videos, he talked about things like his clothes, favorite music, movies, house tours, and even college-related topics.

As part of his ingenuity and creativity, he made a video of a song he wrote and performed. “These Songs”, his original piece got a lot of views on YouTube. Cover songs he has included Growing Up, Idle Town, Lovesick Boys, The Other Side, Treehouse and many more videos.

Growing up, he was mocked for not being manly enough. This inspired him to make a video called “I’m a Girly Boy and I Don’t Care”. The sarcasm and authenticity of the video made it is popular, as it went viral in a short time. Rather, he didn’t defend his girly nature, he accepted that he never really felt man enough and that he didn’t feel good if people perceived him. He even continues to show feminine tendencies on a few of his videos – things like painting his nails.

Expressing his thoughts on becoming famous on YouTube, Conan Gray thinks a lot has changed since the early days of posting videos. He is an advocate for originality and creativity on YouTube. He captured that thought in his song, YouTube is Changing.

Family

As interesting and beautiful as Conan Gray’s videos are, the same can’t be said for his family. He was born in San Diego, California to a middle-class family of Japanese descent. The family had to move to Hiroshima to be with her sick grandfather. Unfortunately, the grandfather passed away and they had to return to California.

Things didn’t go well for Conan Gray’s parents as their marriage fell apart when Conan was just three years old. Conan had a sister (whose names are not known), born to his parents before their divorce.

Other efforts – outside of YouTube

With over 1.9 million subscribers in 2018 and over 9 million views on his videos, he has made a fortune with YouTube. However, it also has another stream of income. He has an online store where he sells personal branded products. Products include t-shirts, hoodies, music CDs, beanies, winter hats, and even canned goods. All of these are part of her personal online store items.
