Due to the aura of seriousness that surrounds their profession, physicians are generally presumed to sacrifice their social lives in order to succeed in their careers. Despite this stereotype, Dr. Travis Stork has managed to balance his work as an emergency physician with that of TV personality.
He earned excellent grades in medical school and made notable appearances on top-notch TV shows like The Bachelor, The Doctors, The Rachael Ray Show, Entertainment Tonight, and the Wendy Williams Show. Since 2008, when he took on the role of host of The Doctors, the television personality has earned two Daymy Emmy nominations in recognition of his contribution to the show.
Dr. Travis Stork’s Bio
The American doctor was born on March 9, 1972, to parents – a mother and father – identified simply as Donna and Roger. Further details of his family background and what it was like growing up have proven elusive, but he is the first doctor to come out of his family. Available information about his educational background shows that he was a brilliant student with good grades at Duke University, where he graduated. He went on to earn his medical degree, also with honors, from the University of Virginia. Subsequently, Stork chose emergency medicine and began his residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Travis Stork appeared at Vanderbilt. The Bachelor, an American dating and relationship reality television series. His appearance was on season 8 of the show and in the finale he cast schoolteacher Sarah Stone. Unfortunately, there is no fairy tale ending for the new couple, even though they only lived a few blocks from each other. Apparently, the closeness didn’t do much for them, as the couple quickly called off the relationship right after a week of dating.
Appearing on a reality show had no effect. Stork soon finished his residency and began practicing medicine in the emergency departments of his alma mater, in addition to a hospital in Colorado.
Having direct experience with reality TV shows, Stork perfectly hosts a medical show/daytime talk show The Doctors. The Los Angeles-based show first aired in September 2008 and is currently in its 10th season. Stork’s role on the show is to moderate the discussions of a group of three other doctors who discuss different health issues. Health experts from different fields of medicine, including pediatrics, plastic surgery, and obstetrics/gynecology, also answer attendees’ questions.
After being nominated for the 2010 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Show Informative, the show won.
Dr. Travis Stork became a member of the telehealth society, MDLIVE, in October 2013. He joined the society as chair of the medical advisory board, but only spent two years on the job, taking his leave in March 2015.
Amid his busy career as an ER doctor and TV personality, Stork found time to sign two New York Times bestsellers – The Skinny Belly Prescription and The Doctor’s Diet. He also published several other health books which he published for public consumption.
As expected, the good doctor has an impressive bodybuild, not that we’re surprised as he takes health seriously. Although his weight is not known, he is physically fit and stands at 1.9 m (6 ft 4 in).

Although he is a resounding success in his career, Dr. Travist Stork has not had successful relationships so far. When he married fellow physician, pediatrician Charlotte Brown, on June 30, 2012, it seemed he had found the rib he was missing. However, the marriage did not last until three years, the medical couple called it quits and got a divorce on March 25, 2015.
Prior to his marriage to Charlotte, Stork was active in the dating scene. He dated Sarah Stone and Carrie Underwood but nothing worked out for him and the two women. He then met and married Charlotte Brown with whom he lived for just three years before divorce came knocking on the door.
