Pass Jeffree Star and Patrick Starrr, a new boy beauty vlogger is in town. Edward Avila is one of the boy beauty bloggers in Korea. He is a beauty and lifestyle vlogger whose looks are mostly inspired by K-Pop idols. Of course, the perception of men wearing makeup is different in Korea compared to the United States. In the United States, men wear makeup to show off their creativity and artistry, but in Korea, it’s more about showcasing their features.
Eddy, as his friends call him, didn’t just become famous with nothing to show for it. Her beauty videos on YouTube along with her sense of humor and in-depth knowledge of all things K-beauty have earned her a place in the celebrity world.
If you’re already familiar with makeup as a man, feel free to point any guy who’s a little squeamish about experimenting with corrective makeup heading to Edward Avila’s channel. Read more details about her biography, family, and orientation.
Edward Avila, Biography, Age
Born Edward Avila on April 2, 1992, the beautiful vlogger’s birthplace is located in California, United States of America. Avila is obviously of American nationality but belongs to the American-Filipino ethnicity. He spent his early years in his hometown of California, but after coming of age he moved to Seoul, Korea quite in 2013. He has also been living in Germany for about four years.
The media isn’t overflowing with information about his educational background, but it seems Avila is well-informed from what one might glean from his online activities.
In 2006, while still living in the United States, Edward Avila started his YouTube channel under the name mrpanda101. Then his main focus was not beauty and its related subjects, as he has made it his mainstay these days. Back then it was all about video sharing and the blogger didn’t want to be left out, so he joined the community. He mostly posted videos of his friends and also shared his random or creative stuff but nothing else about beauty i.e. if he posted anything about it.
However, when he became a high schooler, Avila looked for ways to treat his acne, which began to appear. He resorted to makeup, reorienting himself to what would become his signature endorsement. As he learned how to manage acne, he also wanted to know how to conceal dark circles and breakouts. The answer was inspired by another YouTuber, Michelle Phan, in one of her vlogs, where he showed men how to use makeup. Edward Avila decided to have a taste of the deep waters of vlogging and has had no reason to look back since then, even with the many controversies he has stirred up over his career.
A far cry from the days of using makeup to cover up, Edward Avila now sees the art as a way to broadcast his best, enhanced version of himself to the world. He renamed his channel Edward Avila and now posts his looks inspired by K-pop idols. He also draws inspiration from other makeup artists, as well as the seasons and weather conditions that are conducive to good moods.
Interestingly, recreating the K-pop idol look isn’t her only concern. Edward Avila is obsessed with a member of South Korean group Monsta X, known as Wonho, who is also a huge fan of girl groups 9Muses and Red Velvet. He also dabbled in music. He collaborated with Trophy Cat to release some songs. Also, he was cast in a YouTube show called Beauty Beasts which is all about fashion, lifestyle and beauty.
Besides the benefits he derives from taking care of his skin, and especially his facials, Avila’s beauty routine is comparable to that of other men in Korea who wear makeup. Through her videos, they can understand the importance of maintaining overall appearance, skin and complexion. His honesty is one of the things his fans love. He bares her makeup-free face and talks about her surgeries, including her lip fillers and rhinoplasty. Thanks to his video content that ranges from makeup-free makeup to sultry bronze eyes, he has amassed over 1.3 million subscribers and his videos have been viewed over 150 million times.
Avila is also active on Instagram through his Edweird0 account where he has gained over 472,000 followers.
His family
Avila shared her childhood memories with her sister who, though unidentified, made several appearances in her videos. The beauty vlogger hasn’t talked much about his parents, but he did mention that if he hit a million bucks, the first thing he would do would be to pay off his dad’s debt. What is also known is that he has an American stepfather who was in the military.
Is Edward Avila gay? boyfriend or girlfriend
Avila is openly gay. Although it is not known when it was released, it is the controversies that it revolves around him that do not arouse negative reactions among people. He was called out for abetting the bleaching and body humiliation of a fat teenage girl named Kyla. However, they never stopped him from aiming higher in his endeavors.
He did not mention the identity of his boyfriend, but he reportedly had a relationship with a K-pop idol student whose identity remained unknown.
