James Murr Murray is an improv comedian from New York. “Murr” as he is known from the popular TruTV comedy series Impractical Jokers, was born James Stephen Murray on May 1, 1976. He is part of “The Tenderloins”, the comedy troupe behind Impractical Jokers.

James Murray is senior vice president of development at NorthSouth Productions, the television company that produces Impractical Jokers. Along with starring in the TruTV/NorthSouth series, Murray is also the show’s executive producer.

The Tenderloins got their big break in 2007 when they won $100,000 on NBC ‘s It’s Your Show YouTube Video Contest. After Impractical Jokers hit TV screens across America, the Tenderloins were unstoppable; several sold-out tours inside and outside the United States and even a book project about their experiences on the show.

In 2012, leveraging the fame that Jokers gained from Impractical, The Tenderloins started a podcast which is published fortnightly on their website and on iTunes.
