Joel Edward McHale was born on the 20th day of November 1971 in Rome, Italy. He is the middle child among three brothers. Although he was born in Italy, his father is an American from Chicago, Illinois. Her mother, on the other hand, is a Vancouver-born Canadian.
Education
Joel spent his childhood in Seattle, Washington and attended Mercer Island High School in 1991. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Washington in 1995. Joel also holds an MFA from the professional actor training from the University of Washington.
After getting his master’s degree, he moved to Los Angeles and got a few roles in Diagnosis: Assassination, CSI: Miami, and Will and Grace. This created more opportunities for him as an actor.

Joel McHale currently plays the recurring role of Chris on Santa Clarita Diet, an American horror series with an infusion of comedy. The series was created as a streaming for Netflix. The show was officially released to the public on February 3, 2017. The second season was renewed by Netflix and on March 23, 2018, the first episode premiered on the streaming platform.
Joel McHale began his hosting gigs with the White House Correspondents’ Association Annual Dinner in 2014. He also hosted the Independent Spirit Awards in 2011 and the Espy Awards in 2015. McHale announced in January 2018 that would launch his talk show The Joel McHale with Joel McHale on Netflix. The official premiere was on February 18, 2018. The show officially launched its first season with thirteen episodes per week. McHale is the writer and executive producer of the series. The show focuses on pop culture and news from around the world from a different angle.
Relationship with his wife Sarah Williams
McHale met his wife Sarah a year after he graduated from the University of Washington in 1995. He had called Sarah’s friend to see if he could contact Sarah. She said it was a big chance, but she would ask anyway. Sarah eventually went on a date with Joel and the relationship grew from there.

Their marriage is blessed with two sons; Edward Roy McHale and Isaac Hayden McHale. Edward was born with two holes in his heart and underwent open heart surgery as a baby, but is doing better now. McHale’s devotion to his family (wife and children) is what makes him attractive. In 2011, he took a break from his comedy so he could spend more time with his family.
