Katie Daryl was born on June 7, 1984. Information about her early life and upbringing is sparse, however, she revealed that her first media experience was working as a part-time radio DJ when she was a teenager.

After graduating from high school, she attended Arizona State University for her college education. She continued to accumulate experience in the media industry, particularly radio, while in college. She worked as a morning show producer on KISS-FM in Phoenix, Arizona. In 1998, she interned at the Sports Fan Radio Network under the auspices of the Association for Women in Sports Media.

Due to the tough demands of working morning radio shows, Katie Daryl decided to move into television after graduating from college. She also moved to New York where she landed a job as a correspondent on the political show Pick or Lose on MTV. Subsequently, she moved to Dallas, Texas, where she worked briefly in FM radio.

On July 2, 2012, HDNet changed its name to AXS TV.

In early 2013, Katie Daryl landed her biggest role yet on the music show The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands. She had a very successful 8-season stint as the show’s host and executive producer between 2013 and 2017.
