Michelle Kosinski is a multi-award winning American journalist best known for her work with CNN, where she works as a diplomatic correspondent covering the State Department. Based in Washington DC, Kosinski, who joined CNN in 2014, was previously a White House correspondent during the Obama administration.
In addition to covering the State Department, Michelle contributes to all of CNN’s platforms and programs.

Michelle Kosinski was born May 6, 1974 in Willingboro Township, New Jersey and raised in Cinnaminson Township, New Jersey. She is of Polish descent. She has three siblings. His mother is Jeanette Kosinski, a chemist and his father is Robert Kosinski, a retired biologist who worked for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
Michelle attended St. Charles Borromeo Elementary School and Holy Cross High School.
She attended Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, where she earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree.

Career, CNN, NBC
Michelle began her reporting career at WIFR-CBS in Rockford, Illinois, where she was assigned as a reporter.
She then joined WSOC-TV in Charlotte, NorthCaroline, where she established the Piedmont Office. In 2001, she was voted “Best Journalist in Charlotte” by readers of the city’s arts and entertainment magazine.
Michele joined WTVJ in the fall of 2001. At WTVNJ, she covered cases in federal court and wrote a number of longer investigative reports. Michelle then worked for WTVJ-NBC 6 in Miami, Florida, where she received the 2003 Suncoast Regional Emmy Awards craft competition winner for her reporting on the issue of Haitian immigrants.
Two years later, in 2005, Michelle was next South Florida’s Women in Communications named Woman of the Year. She moved to London in 2005 as a foreign correspondent for NBC News. With NBC, Michelle has covered many national and international events.

Kosinski married retired investment banker Kimbell Duncan on August 9, 2014.
They met in London while Kosinski was living in London as a correspondent for NBC News.
The wedding took place at the Anderson HouseGreat Stair Hall is housed in the historic Anderson House mansion on Massachusetts Avenue in Washinton, DC. The guest list numbered just over 150 people and included high-profile journalists such as CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, Dana Bash, Fox News’ White Channel correspondent Ed Henry, and his CNN producer wife, Shirley Henry.
In honor of her Polish roots, Michelle wore a traditional floral crown designed by a milliner in Krakow. She wore a strapless dress made by Oscar de la Renta. Kimbell wore a blue and green tartan kilt, unique to the Duncan clan.

Kimbell Rush Duncan was born in 1965 to Kenneth V. Duncan of Smithsburg and the late Frances K. Duncan. Yale, Duncan worked as a managing director in the London branch of an investment banking subsidiary of Tokyo-based Mizuho Financial. He retired as an investment banker in 2004.
Duncan is the founder of Rush Foundations, a charitable organization that seeks to prevent the spread of HIV in sub-Saharan Africa. He comes from a wealthy family and sits on the boards of companies in which his family trust holds investments.

After her marriage to Kimbell Duncan, Michelle became the mother of her two children. 5 year old twins, daughter Sophia and son Nikita. The children were delivered by Duncan’s widow.
