She rose to fame in the soap opera Nya Tider as upper-class girl Anna Gripenhielm. Later, she portrayed Chrissy in the Swedish-American soap opera Ocean Ave.

Ferguson received critical acclaim for her role as Ilsa Faust in Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation in 2015.
