Barry Weiss is an American businessman and reality television star who rose to fame after appearing on the hit A&E reality series, Storage Wars. He was part of the show’s first season in 2010 as The Collector Who Buys Treasuries. Also a lifelong antique collector, he was part of the show for the first four seasons before appearing in Storage Wars: Barry Strikes Back and Barry’d Treasure. Storage Wars Barry Weiss was born on February 11, 1951, in the United States, where he was also raised. Even though there is no information about how he was raised, his parents and his upbringing, it is no secret that he has a brother Joey Weiss, whom he is very close to.
Long before he rose to fame as a reality TV star, Barry and his brother started out as businessmen. He started as an antique collector since he was 15 years old, collecting anything of value.
Along with his brother, Barry started a company which they built into a very successful business that turned them into millionaires much later in life. After leading the business for more than two decades, he decided to retire in order to pursue his passion as a collector.
When Storage Wars was to begin, he was contacted by his friend, also producer of the series, Thom Beers who invited him to be part of the series which he obliged.

Weiss who has been a huge motorcycle enthusiast suffered a nasty motorcycle accident with his friend in April 2019. According to reports, the two got into a car that was pulling out of a parking lot in Los Feliz. The accident was huge and the TV star was rushed to intensive care at a local Los Angeles hospital, where he underwent multiple surgeries for broken bones and internal injuries. Barry who was the hardest hit his friend has recovered well.
Apart from this tragedy that happened to him, Weiss is doing quite well and so he is very much alive, with the hope that he will soon see his seventies and even beyond.
