Tarek El Moussa needs no introduction for all Flip or Flop lovers but for the benefit of those who are not fans of the series, Tarek is a popular realtor to host Flip or Flop ( a TV series that aired on HGTV since 2013 ).
He is also popular for being the husband of the show’s co-host Christina El Moussa, until January 2018 when the couple finalized their divorce, after having been separated since 2015.

Biography, Age and Ethnicity of Tarek El Moussa
Tarek was born in Long Beach, California on August 21, 1981. He grew up in Buena Park, California.
There are, however, inconsistencies in the information about his ethnicity as sources suggest his father is a Moroccan born in Egypt. Other than these, there is no other information about his parents, siblings, ethnicity, background as well as education.
Religion
There have been so many speculations about Tarek’s religion and El Moussa’s religious beliefs. Some believe he is a Muslim since his ethnicity has been attributed to Egpty and his surname has an Islamic meaning, while others believe he is Jewish.

His rise…
According to HGTV’s profile on him, Tarek actually got his realtor’s license when he was 21, long before he and his ex-wife started moving houses and quickly built up a family. niche and started making a lot of money.
Like many companies, the journey hasn’t been that easy. After getting his license, Tarek got into real estate and was doing well until the real estate market crash of 2008 left him nearly bankrupt and had to start from scratch.
Tarek recalled driving to the watch houses early in the morning after their addresses were listed on the auction site.
In an interview, he also recalled that before the Flip or Flop fame came, he had no real experience of flipping houses and yet he was willing to give it a try. He also recalled how they had no capital for a startup, and they (him and his ex) put a plan in place and went looking for capital from family and friends and how they did not receive a penny because everyone thought they were crazy..
A breakthrough came in 2011 when Tarek and a friend of theirs made an audition tape showing a house from start to finish and sent it to HGTV. A year later, they were offered a weekly time slot to host Flip or Flop, a show about buying and selling homes in Southern California.
According to him, when the show initially launched, HGTV wasn’t sure if it was going to do well, so they were given the slot. But to his amazement and that of many others, the show did much more than expected, drawing over a million viewers by the end of its first season. The show grew to such an extent that in August 2016, it became the highest-rated show on cable, with an estimated 2.864 million viewers.
Tarek and his ex-wife, Christina, pulled it off by showcasing their real estate and interior design expertise at the show they found, bought, remodeled and divested the for-profit home .

With his recent divorce and questions about how the fortune jointly held with his ex will be divided, it’s a bit difficult to state Tarek’s current worth categorically.
But in 2013, he revealed to The Orange County Register that they (he and his ex) made $10,000 per episode of Flip or Flop and their net worth was around $4 million.
About his divorce and his new girlfriend
As mentioned earlier, Tarek El Moussa was married to his HGTV show partner Christina El Moussa from 2009 to 2015. Although their divorce was finalized in January 2018, the couple separated in 2015.
Tarek was the first to file for divorce in December 2016 and Christina did the same six months after. They have two lovely children together, Taylor El Moussa (born December 22, 2010) and Brayden El Moussa (born 2015).
They have since moved on in life. Christina was linked to a guy named Gary Anderson, then Nate Thompson and currently British TV personality Ant Anstead.
Tarek is also rumored to be dating his daughter’s nanny, Alyssa Logan at the time, but he is currently linked to Lingerie model Patience Silva and they are said to be in love.
