Token (Rapper) – Bio and Age

In the rap community and among fans, he is known as Token but the rapper was born Ben Goldberg on September 24, 1998 in Boston. It is also where he was raised with his sister by their parents, whose marriage ended when Token was in fourth grade.

Growing up, young Goldberg had a serious anger problem and he would explode at the slightest provocation. In fact, as a freshman, he got suspended from school after getting into a fight and yelling at a teacher. It was this anger that drew him to hip-hop, which then offered him a type of therapeutic healing.

By the time he was in sixth grade, Token and his friends were already recording songs on his Mac and selling them everywhere. Together with Colin Mitchell they collaborated on some songs which were later heard by Jon Glass of Glasshouse Productions who continued to help them with their music while keeping track of their academic performance.

In 2013, when he was only 13 years old, Token struck for the first time in public. That day, Hopsin was done playing, and when he was signing autographs, the young lad came forward unplanned. Unafraid of embarrassing himself in front of the more experienced rapper he considers an idol and the many kids around him, he smartly dropped his lines.

After he finished, he got encouragement and advice from the older hip hop star. For Token, even though it was not a theatrical performance in front of a very large crowd, it had become a night of his life.

He continued with what he knew how to do best and then in 2015 he had a huge difference with his video for the No Sucka Mcs contest.

The video helped him meet actor Mark Wahlberg who contacted him and the two became friends. The actor gave him his first opportunity to act in Fête des patriotes (2016).
