Vanessa Nadal was born on August 18, 1982 in New York. Although very little is known about her childhood, it is known that she was always bright and with a delicious appetite for education.
She received her high school education at Hunter College High School in New York City, in the Upper East End neighborhood of the city.
From there she went to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
Not done yet, the woman went to Fordham University School of Law where she earned a law degree. Prior to that, she worked for Johnson & Johnson as a research and development scientist.
After earning a law degree, Vanessa Nadal moved to New York where she worked with Jones Day as an associate.
Along with her job, the woman has handled numerous federal, state, and international cases. She has trained and gained knowledge in different areas of law including RICO Civil Litigation and Fair Credit Reporting Act issues.
She also has knowledge in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, which is understandable given her time with Johnson & Johnson, breach of contract, intellectual property, environmental litigation, as well as enforcement procedures.
After spending 5 years at Jones Day, she quit smoking. As of now, it’s unclear what she’s into, but you can easily guess that she’s into something big.
Prior to Jones Day, Vanessa had worked with the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division as a legal intern and from there moved to King Ramsey Perry & Howell, LLP still as an intern.
It was after King Ramsey Perry & Howell, LLP that she joined Jones Day as a summer associate, then a law clerk, before eventually rising to associate, where she left.

Vanessa and the man who would later become her husband, Lin-Manuel Miranda had different things in common, and that’s what brought them together.
The very smart woman and Miranda attended Hunter College High School almost at the same time, but it wasn’t at school that the two started dating. In fact, while they were in school, they weren’t close or even friends.

The two got married in 2010 and 4 years later, on November 10, 2014, Nadal gave birth to their first child, a son, Sabastein.
