Steve Byrne is a popularly known in the United States as a comedian and actor. He has been featured in numerous comedy shows and television series, earning him recognition as one of the most innovative and sought-after performers in the comedy industry.

He is also popular for originating and portraying the role of Steve Sullivan in the comedy television series Sullivan & Son which aired from 2012 to 2014. Who is Steve Byrne? – Brief biography

Steve was born in Freehold, New Jersey on July 21, 1974 and grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is of Irish and Korean descent. Her father, Steven Byrne, is Irish and her mother, Ok Cha Byrne, is Korean.

Byrne has a younger brother, William Byrne, whom he mentioned during his comedies. William served in the US Army, as did their father. Steve attended Hampton High School, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is also a graduate of Kent State University, Kent, Ohio.

He loves hockey and has been playing the sport since he was six years old. He is a huge Pittsburgh Penguins fan and his favorite players are Dave Bolland, Mario Lemieux, Ron Francis and Sidney Crosby.

His all-time favorite movies include MacGruber, A Christmas Story, Swingers, Superman, Couples Retreat and Made. While her favorite TV shows are Saturday Night Live, Lost, and The Twilight Zone.

Career

After earning a degree in theater from Kent State University, he moved to New York in search of employment. In New York he became a member of the Carolines Comedy Club, his love for stand-up comedy was rekindled from then on and from then on he was hooked and began to aspire to embark on an acting career.

His first steps on stage as a stand-up comedian was at Stand Up New York on September 30, 1997, after gaining experience and exposure working in the comedy club. He had to spend the first seven years of his career as such learning the craft and becoming known for his passion to be on stage as much as he could.

In 2003 Steve Byrne decided to make a documentary film and came up with 13 or bust showing where he did 13 shows in one night at every comedy club in Manhattan, and in doing so broke the record for number of series never achieved in one night by a comedian.

In 2006, the basic American cable and satellite television station, Comedy Central, aired Steve’s first television special, Comedy Central Presents Steve Byrne. He then did a one hour special on Comedy Central in 2008 called Steve Byrne’s Happy Hour and on Sunday July 25, 2010 he also had another one hour special on Comedy Central called The Identity of Byrne

In 2012, he created and starred as Steve Sullivan in the comedy television series Sullivan & Son. The show aired for 3 seasons on TBS. A true international comedian, Steve Byrne has performed in sold-out crowd-filled events around the world. He has performed on numerous national comedy tours and is considered a “shoo-in” whenever a comedy show is performed.
